Ignite: TED talks, but shorter and funnier

My first encounter with the Ignite talks was at the PICNIC festival in Amsterdam. I watched a series of five minute presentations. Passionate talks covering a range of subjects, from game design to child birth in a swimmingpool.
The great thing about Ignite is the fact that the talks always take 5 minutes and each slide 15 seconds. So even if you don’t care about a subject, you will survive the talk. And the good thing is: you encounter some really interesting talks on topics which you never thought of.
And Just like TED, which everybody seems to watch these days, Ignite has experts talking. Or as they say at Ignite: geeks. They know what they talk about , do it with passion and humour.
